When our old petrol mower got tempremental, it was time for a change. I bought a self driven petrol mower on the recommendation of a neighbour. Big mistake. It was so heavy and difficult to manouver I ended up sending it back. I have had a corded machine in the past, and got fed up with working round the lead, so that wasn't an option. So I thought I would try a rechargeable, and the Mountfield spec looked good. When it arrived I was worried that it looked rather plasticky. And yes, the grass box was a so-and-so to put together. Things then got better. Performance is great. It leaves a beautiful finish, and is easy to use (especially working round the twisty bits). It is light to handle. Unlike my old petrol mower it cuts wet grass well, and the waste shute doesn't get bunged up when the clippings are wet. True, the battery life is less if the grass is wet and long, but that is no hardship with 2 batteries. I have only done half a dozen cuts so far, so I can't really comment on durability, but so far so good.
